About the Presenter: Carrie Jensen is a landscape architect and environmental educator. She is a native Nevadan and has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in education from San Jose State University. In her early professional career, she worked for environmental non-profits teaching general water science and watershed pollution awareness. From there, she has gone on to pursue landscape architecture and environmental consulting. Currently, she runs her own consulting company, Urban Ecology Solutions, LLC and is an environmental education consultant for One Truckee River. In her spare time, Carrie loves gardening, reading, and riding her bike.

We'll look to the skies above Nevada and the Southwest for stories spawned from legend, lore, and tall tales (or are they?). Join us on a flight of fancy to include extraterrestrials, atmospheric mischief, unexplained occurrences, and other topics that are out of this world.
After the presentation, if you would like to join in, we'll be using a few basic household supplies to create constellation-inspired shapes.
**Only if you plan to craft after the session, have the following materials available…

About the Presenter: Laura Robertson is a musician and local artist whose work often incorporates nature, wildlife, and upcycled household items. She is active in the community in the areas of adult education and creative pursuits, and is Senior Director of Resources for a global technology company based in Nevada. Originally from Atlanta, she graduated from Kennesaw State with a Bachelor's degree in organizational communication, and minors in cultural anthropology and language studies. Laura served on the May Arboretum Society board for two years, originated the Virtual Learning Series in Fall 2020, and remains an active Society member
