ABOUT THE ARBORETUM
Open year-round and located inside Rancho San Rafael Regional Park in Reno, Nevada, the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden was designed on three acres of former ranchland in 1986. It has since expanded to 13 acres and is comprised of specialty gardens, outdoor courtyards, tree groves, and wetland habitats. It is a dog free public garden. Address: 1595 North Sierra Street Hours of Operation: Daily - Hours of operation change depending on the season The Arboretum is a member of the American Public Garden Association and certified as a Level II Arboretum; whose mission is to serve as a demonstration garden, educational resource, and a botanical research facility for the community to enjoy. It offers a combination of science and aesthetics and provides displays of native and adaptable plant species, shrubs and wildflowers. |
